AmeriCredit Consumers With Arbitration Clauses Fight to Stay in Court

This Friday, the Hanson Law Firm is fighting to give AmeriCredit customers with arbitration clauses in their car contracts the same rights won for those customers who don’t. On January 31, the Hanson Law Firm won partial summary judgment against AmeriCredit on behalf of thousands of California consumers and making AmeriCredit forgive over $200 million dollars of illegal consumer debt. AmeriCredit was forced to do this after 3 years of litigation, but refuses to forgive the same illegal debt for its customers with arbitration clauses. Instead, AmeriCredit is banking on those customers being forced out of Court where they won’t have lawyers or the money to fight back.
