Ford Explorer Exhaust/Rotten Egg Smell: Lemon Law Safety Alert
The Consumers Friend has received consumer lemon law complaints that 2011 – 2015 Ford Explorers suffer from a design defect that allows dangerous exhaust gases, which may contain carcinogens including benzene, to enter inside the vehicles. This may occur when under higher revs and/or when the vehicles’ climate control systems and/or air conditioners are turned on and all of the windows are closed. These conditions – the closed windows restricting ventilation and the climate control allowing exhaust gases to enter the vehicles – may prompt a strong smell of fumes. Drivers have reported that their vehicles smelled like “burned hair,” “rotten eggs,” or simply “like gas.” Contact the Hanson Law Firm for a free lemon law consultation and report your problems ASAP! 858.451.0291
