Some Tips:  1) make sure refunds are deposited in YOUR account, not the preparers, 2) if the preparer uses your last pay stub and NOT your W2, walk away; 3) if the preparer wants to use phony numbers, walk away;  4) get all fees in writing and up front!; 5) never sign a blank return; 6) never accept a % of refund fee; 7) report abuse to a consumer lawyer and the IRS using forms 14157 and 14157-A!
