GM Diesel Regeneration Problems Continue: Lemon law help needed

We have successfully had GM Diesels repurchased under the lemon law. Recently, the Consumers Friend has received reports that GM participated in research concerning diesel engine regeneration problems in an effort to decrease the related fuel penalty and that it subsequently published an internal video and materials based on that research , showing that GM knew of the diesel particulate filter defects at the time many were sold, and concealed that information from consumers.
Some consumers have claimed the placement of the filter in the trucks is too far from the engine and, as a result, the engines are defective and don’t perform as advertised. They claim the filter placement requires the use of additional heat, causes unnecessary regenerations, reduces fuel range and economy, and inconveniences drivers by asking them to “keep driving” until regeneration is completed, which takes approximately 20 minutes. They also allege that the placement of the filters creates a fire risk in some vehicles.
