Chrysler Lemon Defect: The Defective Totally Integrated Power Module, or TIPM
The Consumer’s Friend has learned of a lemon law epidemic: Some Chrysler vehicles are equipped with a defective Totally Integrated Power Module, or TIPM. The defective TIPM can cause problems starting the vehicle and stalling. In addition, the TIPM can prevent the fuel pump from shutting off properly, cause headlights and taillights to shut off, and can cause random and uncontrollable activity of the horn, windshield wipers, alarm system, door locks, and airbags.
