Land Rover Lemon Recall

Jaguar Land Rover is recalling Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque vehicles, as some of those vehicles may suffer from a transmission problem that could boost their risk of crashing.
The problem is rooted in a transmission wiring harness manufactured by KE Elektronik. NHTSA says that the transmission sensor clusters linked to that harness may not have been properly crimped, and as a result, a vehicle’s transmission may suddenly shift into neutral. Depending on when and where that happens, it could increase the opportunity for collisions.
The recall affects the following models:
2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport vehicle built between September 17, 2014 and November 3, 2014
2014-2015 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque vehicles built between July 15, 2013 and July 1, 2015
NHTSA reports that 22,657 vehicles registered in America are included in the recall.
You may be getting a notice soon as Jaguar Land Rover will begin mailing recall notices (Recall P091)to owners on October 14, 2016. Owners will be asked to take their vehicles to dealerships for inspections. If serial numbers associated with the automatic transmission indicate a potential problem, dealers will update the transmission software, which Land Rover says will prevent the transmission from shifting into neutral because of faulty crimps.
